This tune has been sitting in my MIDI of the Week archive for many years now… (Like – 10 years now?) It’s a classic Piano, Bass & Drums trio of the classic Roger Whittaker tune (later popularized by Bette Midler’s recording of this song for the movie “Beaches.”) While this MIDI version of the song has been passed along the Web without any markers, I believe it originally came from a Yamaha player-piano song disk (which helps explain the fantastic piano MIDI recording). For this particular recording, I’ve dropped the original drum track and added my own… I think it adds a bit more build-up and excitement to an otherwise fantastic MIDI song… (If you know of the original credits, please drop me a note…)
