Carol of the Bells starts as a straight cover, then quickly spins off into a more original composition. While the piece moves further and further away from the original Carol of the Bells, it still maintains some sense of the reoccurring theme. The last-minute or so of music is just an extended solo. It was fun and sounded okay, so I kept it in, backing with some strings and horns.
